Lucinda Sanford Acker

1927 -- 2010

On August 2, 2010, Lucinda Sanford Acker peacefully departed this earthly existence and began the transition to her spiritual home. Included among her many legacies, Lucinda is the "Founding Mother" of Project 2019. The logic and the rationales that were the wellspring of the idea and the ideals of Project 2019 originated with Lucinda. With her words, she convincingly made the case for the need for Project 2019. By example, she proved that Project 2019 is not just the best solution but that Project 2019 is the only viable solution for uplifting black America. Lucinda’s immediate family and the entire Project 2019 family mourn the loss of our beloved matriarch. We will miss her but she will always be remembered as the inspiration for and the guiding light of Project 2019. Lucinda Sanford Acker embodied the spirit of Project 2019 and was the Founding Mother of Project 2019 – a legacy that should be honored by all future generations of black Americans.
