The Basis For Project 2019 Is The Irrefutable Truth That Black Americans
Will Never Attain Social And Economic Equality In America Until
Black Americans Reach Educational Parity In America. Project 2019’s Measurement
Of "Educational Parity" Is The Percentage Of Black Americans With
College Degrees Being Equal To The Percentage Of All Other Americans With College
Degrees.
The Year 2019
Will Be The 400th Anniversary Of The Beginning Of Slavery In America
There are three
reasons why most black Americans, in 2006, are not aware of this fact. During
246 years of Slavery, it would have
been illegal to teach black Americans to read this information. During the 103
years of the Jim Crow era, educating black Americans was one of
America's lowest priorities. And, in the first three
decades of the Equal Opportunity era, black America has not
given a high enough priority to educating black Americans.
After almost four centuries
of racism and oppression, black Americans have the opportunity and the means
to begin a new chapter in their history. By reaching educational parity by the
year 2019, black Americans can create a legacy that will last for the next four
centuries. Project 2019 can and will succeed. Black America only needs the vision
and the resolve.
How Black Americans Respond to the Project 2019 Challenge
will Speak Volumes about the Resilience, the Resourcefulness, the Strength
of Character, and the Pride of Black America.
